Special Mention for Paperman at Visioni dal Mondo!
Paperman receives a special mention at the 2020 edition of the Visioni dal Mondo festival in Milan. The documentary, directed by Domenico Zazzara, tells the life and work experience - in the UK and Italy - of James Lake, a paper artist with unique abilities whose leg was amputated at the age of 17 due to a bone tumor.
The Jury Young, made up of students from film schools, gave a special mention to the film:
“For the ability to stage a macro-history through a micro-history; the overcoming of both physical and psychological limits. The ability of a man to transform his fragility into an opportunity for change and personal growth.”
Special thanks to those, who made the film possible: Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca, Toscana Film Commission, DS Smith, Comune di Lucca, Lucca Biennale and Berta Film.
