Metropolis is pleased to unveil its next project in development: The Paper Architect. After collaborating with Lucca Biennale Cartasia in the production of the documentary Paperman, Metropolis' camera moves from art to paper architecture.
With the upcoming tenth edition of the biennial, Metropolis is developing a new documentary to tell what paper architecture is, which technical, economic and social innovations it has generated and who are the people behind this revolution. Names like Shigeru Ban and Frei Otto have changed the architecture world with a material, which is affordable and ecological but, at the same time, resistant, malleable and potentially revolutionary. Metropolis, with The Paper Architect, wants to show the life and professional career of the leading exponents of paper and cardboard architecture.
Production is scheduled for 2020.
